Agro-Revolution Cooperative

It is made up of young professional market gardeners, most of whom have completed higher education at
the National University of Agriculture (UNA) and the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences (FSA) of Abomey-
Calavi, and who have mostly settled on the Agro-Revolution market gardening site located in the commune
of Sèmè-Podji since 2018.

Consisting of women and men, we have a total area of 20 hectares, are oriented towards production that
respects ecology, and produce fruit vegetables, leafy vegetables, and others. Our flagship crops are Carrot,
Tomato, Cabbage, African Nightshade, Bell Pepper, and Onion.

Partnership model in place with UNA-EHAEV

• A part of the different domains belonging to the members of the said cooperative is reserved for EHAEV to conduct research trials, write theses, and conduct projects.- The school will help the Agro-Revolution cooperative in the search for projects that can help us promote organic farming.
• The school will authorize students at the end of their bachelor’s and master’s degree programs to come and do their professional internships and other activities on our sites so that the learners are in contact with the real environment.
• The Agro-Revolution cooperative will keep the researchers of the horticulture school informed of new difficulties observed in the agricultural world, particularly in market gardening.
• The Agro-Revolution cooperative wants the school to choose us as a reference to guide graduates and master’s students who have finished their studies and are looking for training centres in the field
  of market gardening.
